dear journal,
i can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach all the up in the kitchen of our sixth floor of the condominium. i love that sound. day one of vacation is complete and i'm looking forward to the 5 more i have. we spent six hours on the beach today and i didnt get a sunburn. i am proud of that. i have a king sized bed and a private bath to myself. i love that too. i am not looking forward to the flight home. after 8 years of flying and i still don't like it yet. meh small price to pay for an amazing vacation. maybe more to come soon, dont hold me to that though, i'm bad at updating my journal. sorry journal for all the neglect.

i've been at the ub library for 1 hour now waiting to pick up my printings. this is bogus. i suppose i could've printed them at home and wasted all of my ink on 45+ pages of stupid readings for avant garde cinema, but i chose to waste the colleges ink on these worthless readings. now i see where the countries trees are going to. the excessive wasted produced by the bulk printers in lockwood library. pages upon pages of words that only mean grades to us. how sad.

i am on the 15 min only computer typing away to kill time til my last document comes out. then i am off to my apartment to shoot the last two scenes of 'do you mime?', go grocery shopping because i have been starving for days and then shower and go to work. busy busy day. but nothing to difficult to handle.

i will finish the da vinci code today...definitly by tomorrow. i am so close. and with a nice chunk of 4 hour work tonight i should be able to accomplish this. its not like i do anything at work anyways. getting paid to read is always fun. 7 minutes left on this computer. he is sorting the pages.

have you ever noticed that certain cd's just sound better loud? i was having a rough night and on my ride home from work i cranked the killers cd and i just was amazed. i thought it got 10 times better. it got me thinking how weird it is that volume can change the way we really hear a cd. other cds i like to hear really loud...anberlin: blueprints for the black market, saves the day: through being cool, autopiolot off: make a sound, something corporate: north.....and countless others. i suggest take a moment to yourself, and play your favorite cd as loud as you want. you'll feel better. or depressed if thats what you're going for. hehe. i'm off to bed now. goodnight world.

i saw a few movies this christmas weekend that were pretty good. i saw dodgeball...loved it. ben stiller is a riot. see it. then i saw napoleon dynamite and i strongly suggest people watch that movie. it is great. i love it. i also saw the best of will ferrell dvds that alex got me for christmas. the first one is awesome, but the second one isn't that great. speaking of will ferrell i'm pumped that anchorman came out today. wooooooo hoooooooo!

for everyone who reads this and didnt know...i got a new job at a portrait studio doing photography. sounds neat huh? i get to take pictures and play on photoshop all day. what a cool job. this is how digiquick said merry christmas to me:

plus side to life...
i'm enjoying the holiday season. last year i felt scrooged, but this year i feel into the holidays. i think it comes with being in love. love makes everything worthwhile. my hair is a new color...again. and i enjoy it. it was time for a change. i think life is telling me i need a change all around. time to make things happen. but change can wait til after christmas. i want to enjoy my family, my friends and my love. oh and Adi, the cutest kitty in the whole world.

this morning certainly sucked. i found out that my car needs $ 650 worth of work. that blows. almost my whole savings. bah. that car is great, but a fucking money pit. i'm still convinced that when the mechanics go in to fix it they break something else just so you have to go back. by the time i get rid of this car i'm gonna owe them my first born child. *crosses fingers* hope it'll be done tomorrow. i want my car back!
then i went to work. work is work. easy, mind-numbing, grossely underpaid work. but hey, i'm still a kid and us kids gotta settle for this kind of work. i feel its time to start looking for a new job.
and that brings me to now. sitting at my computer in my pjs, mixing a cd and updating my journal that i haven't touched in 2 months.
school starts in a week. i can't wait. i need to absorb some knowledge. that is all for now. tomorrow will bring a trip to the salvo (hopefully), birthday shopping, and quality time with my jenny junebug! until next time journal.

short stories

it appeared to me that pat needed some creativity in his life so i suggested a poem. not a poet he said. so i said 'write me a super short story just for fun'. he grudginly agreed and was off to write. here goes part one of pats story. entitled "a really bad short story". hehe.

Was it Billy’s wild imagination or was there really a ghost in his room. He was too frightened to tell. He could see it clear as day. Floating, suspended in air, in the corner of his room. Staring at him, and pointing at him. He ducked under the covers, and clenched his eyes closed. Maybe it will go away. If he opened his eyes, and looked back, it will be gone. Reluctantly he opened his eyes and pulled the sheets from over his head. His eyes turned back to that same corner that the apparition had occupied before. It was gone. Billy let out a sigh of relief. It was probably just his eyes playing a nasty trick on him, or his imagination running rampant. At least now he could get some sleep.
Billy woke up with the feeling that someone was watching him. Immediately his eyes moved to that same corner. Nothing was there. Relieved to see nothing, he started to relax a little bit. Just as he was about to nod off, he felt someone looking down on him with piercing eyes. Glancing over at the corner again, he saw it. Once more it was floating in mid air. Its arm was extended and a thin transparent finger pointed straight at Billy. Slowly, the creature began moving towards him…

...to be confinuted!!! muahahahahaha! stay tuned to find out what happens to little billy.

pss. i finished my essay for columbia and submitted my completed application. finally things are in motion. chicago here i come.

this is a pat inspired post.
they cut my hair too short. its not ugly butch short but its shorter than i like it to be. it looks cute with a bandana in it. they used the clippers on the back of my neck....buzzzzz....it felt strange but comfortable. i play with the little hairs on my neck all the time. i'm addicted.
the sky keeps raining on me. why? i need the sun..."i need the smell of summer i need its noises in my ear"....
summer camp= less than a month away. yay.
